Trin Veaudry Bio
Intern
Trinity’s love for neurofeedback began her sophomore year of college. When she first started her degree in psychology, she never quite understood how important the brain was in terms of helping psychological disorders; all she had been aware of was talk therapy and medication as a tool to aid in these troubles. One day, while cruising through TED talks, she came across a talk by Dr Amen. He mentioned that when there is something wrong with specific organs, we typically go to a specialist, and they monitor it, but thatpsychologists seem to not monitor the organ they’re meant to be treating too often.
From there, she interned at the NeuroTraining and Research Center at Wilkes University, where they had neurofeedback, biofeedback, HRV, and MUSE. She witnessed firsthand how these tools were able to help students who came in to improve attention and focus just by training CZ and enhancing SMR over HI Beta and theta waves with NFB and learning how to synchronize heart and breathing rate through HRV. From here, she did her own research and found a multitude of disorders NFB can be beneficial for. The most amazing part was the lack of significant side effects patients experienced, and she questioned why this wasn’t more utilized for those in need.
Her goal is to influence and educate others about the benefits of these modalities and give hope to others that there are other options to help those seeking to get off medication and feel like themselves again.
